Humans are prominent across most of Shiyan, but not always dominant. Where they are dominant it tends to be from numbers and diplomacy rather than outright power. Most humans assume that they were the dominant race of Shiyan before the ancient cataclysm, but it seems more likely that the fairy were. Since the human norm varies so wildly most races treat them cautiously and consider them unstable and unpredictable. Adding to the mistrust is that humans become restless in much higher numbers than any other species.
