Check against rank boss people around, whether through leadership or bullying. Your score is a representation of your overall social standing, so you may need a minimum score to get certain jobs or be allowed into some circles. Social position and leadership.

  • Impress: Check rank to see if someone has heard of you and your accomplishments, and gain one bonus on a social attack if they have, or a penalty if they have not. This is based on your impression, and may suffer the obscure penalty.
  • Order. If you have followers with markers you may use a snap and check to retain control of them, otherwise the referee chooses an action in their self interest.
  • Recruit: You establish your credentials as a leader. Your audience must be at least neutral and have the horde keyword. Your success margin is the number who join you as followers (at least temporarily), or your failure margin is the number who turn against you.
  • Supervise: You cooperate with another check using rank instead of the usual skill. If two people try to supervise the same check everyone gains interference.
  • Threaten: You force a target with no grit to do your bidding. You roll social attack with your rank score, and if you succeed the target will obey. Outrageous or dangerous commands may add a penalty. Whether you succeed or fail the target will have a reaction penalty against you.

  • Intimidate: You can stare down an opponent as a Manipulation. During an Exchange it requires an Action, and Routs the target if successful. Outside of an Exchange a Bad roll causes the target to become Hostile.
  • Lead: You retain control of followers regardless of distance or whether they have markers, and you gain the Bolstering Speech stunt.
  • Plan: You always place your band's starting positions after opponents are placed, but the referee may limit where you can place. You may spend a focus for available reinforcements arrive after an exchange.
