Righteous Text Scholar
A Righteous Text Scholar has stressed the finer points of classical education over swordplay. Though the scholar may know some martial arts, most are peacemakers, tutors, officials, or even accountants. Many nobles send second sons or daughters to sages to gain education and alliances with the martial world, while also teaching them the importance of staying in their place to keep succession clear for the first son. Such disciples are much more likely to be scholars than the ascetics at the other end of the spectrum.
- Philosopher
 - Alchemist
 - Saint

A Blade Saint attempts to live the Righteous Text to its extreme. His or her goal is self cultivation, trying to become the ideal. Though selfless service to community and nation are goals of the Saint, many become distant, almost hermits set apart from a society so far removed from the ideal. Saints usually the most difficult to rile to aggressive action, and the most dangerous to battle once the Saint becomes convinced that such action is necessary for the greater good.
