    • Immobilizing Stance: You may make a surge melee attack with study instead of fight. Your slam automatically deals all grit, and the target must make a resolve check against the grit you dealt. If the target fails he or she is out for exchanges equal to the failure margin. Anyone with this mastery (including the target) may resist with study in place of resolve, and may cooperate with a paralyzed target to break the effect early.
