Glory Fist Champion
A champion is the ultimate expression of the Glory Fist creed. You risk your life and your reputation to prove your own prowess and the superiority of the Glory Fist clan. Champions often fight to the death because there is no point in living after a loss. Those who do survive train obsessively to force a public rematch someday. Victorious champions often use their reputations to form new schools. Students come to learn from a winner, and a dangerous enough reputation will keep competing schools at bay for a time.
As a champion, you must navigate the delicate maze of challenges in the martial world. If you insult a superior fighter they might simply mock you, or they might accept your challenge and cripple or kill you. Challenging a lesser fighter diminishes your reputation unless you are reacting to an insult. Even still, you must win quickly and with style or you may find your reputation tarnished. There are no size or skill brackets in the martial world, you can either defeat opponents or you can't. If you can't, you'll have to either train harder and try again until you win, die, or give up and change careers.
- Eccentric. You did not follow the traditional path to excellence, but the Glory Fist clan doesn't argue with results. Use your intellect for an unusual evolution that enhances your prowess. It is possible you've become Corrupted along the way.
- Mentor. You have started a school of your own. Take it as a Minor Organization asset. You will have to find students and also protect them from being poached or injured by other schools. Most cities will have an established hierarchy of existing schools that your very existence challenges.
- Mercenary. You have bills to pay, and fighting pays them. You probably wound up in this distasteful profession because you were Greedy or Indebted.
