  • Bargain: You spend a few days shopping around for Rare items or trying to get a good deal. Roll a Check, and if you succeed you can buy the item for one Cash Bill less. On a Bad roll you can’t find a deal and make no purchase at all. Rare items apply a –1 Penalty to the roll, and Scarce items are –2 to buy at all.

    • Discount Hunter: You can purchase services for yourself one value level lower than normal, and ignore any one flaw on an item that you possess while you are using it.
    • Great Wealth: You are Rich.
    • Trinket Seller: You may lose inexpensive items instead of reasonable items when you have a failure margin selling. You may sell inexpensive items as though they were reasonable.
    • Avid Collector: You ignore the penalty for purchasing rare or unique items.
    • Capital Investor: You own a major business organization.
    • Loot Hoarder: You start with four extra tier 1 items.
    • Deft Scrounger: You start play with two tier 1 mods, and you ignore the penalty for finding or purchasing rare items.
    • Diminished Appetite: You no longer require a meal a day. When you do get a meal you regain a hit and gain a bonus on any recovery check.
    • Strife Stopper: You may spend 1 focus to end a conflict in your zone. Once you do, any non-social attack from any side is automatically contested by your communication skill. If you win the attack simply doesn't happen and the attacker's action is lost. This effect continues until you attack, or someone else succeeds with an attack.
    • Compromising Diplomat: In place of your voice damage you may learn what your target desires (at a minimum) to stop a conflict. If the desire is unreasonable (referee's call) then he or she suffers a reaction penalty for the remainder of the encounter.
