There are twelve facets that represent different areas a character may have to check against. Each facet is rated on a scale from 1 to 5:
- 1: Terrible
- 2: Competent
- 3: Accompllished
- 4: Excellent
- 5: Superior
The facets for Wilderness of Blades are:
- Agility: Speed, balance,and control.
- Ceremony: Rituals, magic, and Sorcery.
- Combat: Fighting, weapons, and military strategy.
- Courtesy: Appearance, manners, and charm. (Replaces Charm, Appearance and Communication)
- Energy: Soul, life-force, and raw power.
- Fortune: Status, Resources, luck, and wealth. (Replaces Rank)
- Guile: Stealth and trickery, and Subterfuge.
- Harmony: Survival, animals, and Wilderness.
- Medicine: Alchemy, healing, and poisons. (Replaces Machinery and Scholarship)
- Sense: Perception, intelligence, and critical thinking.
- Strength: Endurance, hardiness, and might.
- Will: Confidence, determination, and Spirit.
