Normally attacks or effects hit you in the body, which has no modifiers and no extra effects. However it is possible to target attacks at specific locations to gain extra effects. Targeting is a privilege and you suffer a penalty (-2) for claiming it. Most individuals have a body, two arms, two legs, and one head. Apparel only applies to the body unless modified by a keyword.

  • Arms: When your arms are attacked if trauma exceeds your stamina you are injured instead of bleeding, and you lose one hand for equipping items until you recover from destruction markers. If you are already injured then you are down instead.
  • Bypass: The attack avoids protective apparel. If your apparel is scanty any protection is ignored. If your apparel has coverage then any protection is halved, rounding down. If your apparel has the carapace keyword or no keyword at all then any protection is halved, rounding up.
  • Disarm: Your effects are applied to an equipped weapon or item, and it is dropped it that area.
  • Head: When your head is targeted you gain a bonus (+2) to any defense, but if you are hit the attack becomes Severe, dealing two additional Red results.
  • Legs: When your legs are attacked if trauma exceeds your stamina you are injured instead of bleeding, and you lose one speed from all your moves until you recover from destruction markers. If you are already injured then you are down instead.
