- Constant: If you lose a clue for an active investigation or are forced to leave behind a known and accessible clue you gain interference.
- Focus: When you learn the name of a new mystery.
- Invoked: During a delve this may be invoked to make you split up from the rest of the band to search for clues in a different location.
