Your expertise with art, deception, entertainment and ritual.
- (Write/Paint/Sculpt/Play/etc)
- Deceive. Outside an encounter you may be questioned about an Investigation. The questioner must name the Mystery, and rolls a contest between Detect and your Perform. If you lose, you must give any Clues for that Mystery, plus tell any discovered Pointers from Clues or Cues. You may Retort or block with Insight normally. Additionally there are times where you must make a successful Perform check to tell a convincing lie to others.
- Distract. You pick a target and roll Perform. This is Social, so Range, Reaction, and Language apply. If you succeed, the target gains Interference. This may be contested with a Retort.
- Recite. You may use a Perform Project to perform a Ritual you possess. On a successful check you gain the benefit of the Ritual. If you fail you gain nothing, or suffer an effect noted by the Ritual. You may purchase Rituals, but you may also find or learn specific Rituals during play.
- Slander. You insult or flirt with a target. This is Social, so Range, Reaction, and Language apply, and you may be Retorted. If your check succeeds your target loses 1 Influence. If the target was a member of a Company the leader's Influence is affected rather than the target's. If the target has no Influence then it gains Interference instead.
- Sex.
